Stars of CCTV

The title of this post is also the title of a music album released by the group Hard-Fi on July 4, 2005. I really liked the album and listened to it quite a bit.

I am actually on CCTV quite a lot because I spend a lot of time at the local library. There are lots of cameras in the library.

I hope the library has a very good security system in place to prevent hacks.

A school in Cape Breton had its cameras hacked. The images were streamed to a Russian-registered website. Click here to read the full story published by the CBC.

I visited the website and found that you could watch live streaming of 254 cameras in Canada.

When I visited the website, I was able to recognize the location of one of the cameras. It is located on the CNE grounds.

According to this report by ABC News, a mother in Houston, Texas found out that the camera in her daughter’s room was being streamed online.

If you have home security cameras installed, make sure you change the default password. Also, use a password that would be very difficult to hack. You can do this by using a very long password that include numbers, letters and symbols. Be sure to use upper and lower case letters.
